Then my end product will be a broadsword with 705 ATK (bonus of 700 + the normal ATK stat of the sword) and 650 MATK.
#RUNE FACTORY 2 MAX UPGRADE#
So this will give me a broadsword with 60 total level points right off the bat, but I'm 90 short from my goal of 150, so 9 level 10 items in the remaining upgrade slots will get me there. That recipe calls for any kind of metal, so I can just throw a level 10 iron in there, and then add 5 level 10 items to the remaining slots. So say I was to make a normal broadsword. If a recipe has an empty space, don't worry about it, you can add whatever in there when you actually craft the item and that's also a great way to give your weapon some custom effects that don't count towards upgrades. These are your 15 item slots, and you need to fill them all with level 10 items for the best bonuses. You probably noticed when you craft something, there are 6 spaces, even if you don't usually fill them up. For the max TLB bonuses, you have to have a combined item level of 150, which means using level 10 items in every possible slot, 15 total. The higher quality you use, the bigger your overall bonuses. That number is basically the quality of the item. So with that out of the way, how does TLB work? Have you ever looked at an items description and noticed a level number between 1 and 10? That's the key to Total Level Bonus. If you want TLB in both, you have to be at least level 50 in both. I should clarify that just because you have level 50 in one skill, doesn't mean you get the benefits of TLB to both skills. The total level bonus is something that you as a player unlock when you reach level 50 in forging and/or crafting. To hide spoilers use the following format (remove spaces).
